The Wheaton Whisky Club proudly presents our newest barrel pick: “Not Another Summer“, a Laws Four Grain Bourbon aged 9 years and 9 months and bottled at a bold 125.9 proof.
We had the rare privilege to sample barrels personally selected by Al Laws himself. Thanks to Steve Malloy and our club’s reputation, this pick comes with a little extra personal treatment.
Where does the name “Not Another Summer” come from?
When we first tasted the barrel, our instinct was to ask, “Can we wait just three more months and make it an even 10 years?” The answer from the barrel manager was a firm no. Another Colorado summer at that altitude, they explained, could dramatically alter the flavor — and not for the better. So we bottled it now, capturing it at its absolute peak… and thus, Not Another Summer was born.
